Opening the hood of a Toyota Prius is a relatively simple process that can be completed in a few steps. First, locate the hood release lever inside the vehicle, which is typically found on the driver’s side near the steering wheel. Pull the lever to release the hood latch, then exit the vehicle and go to the front.
Once at the front of the Prius, locate the hood latch in the center of the grille. Pull the latch towards you to release the hood, then lift the hood up and prop it open with the hood prop rod.
